Skills First Mode is a search mode that helps prevent unconscious bias in your reach-out strategy. When Skills First Mode is enabled, candidate names, avatars, pronouns, and social links are obscured until a candidate responds to your outreach. You can add additional bias reduction options of your choice, and can enable or turn off Skills First Mode at any time.
We let candidates know when outreach was made via Skills First Mode. Focusing on skills vs. background is a strong value for engineers on Triplebyte.
How can I turn on Skills First Mode?
When you're sourcing in Candidates (found in the left nav bar), you'll see a link in the upper right corner that says "Source in Skills First Mode?"
Click the link to view the Skills First Mode settings page, where you can select the options for you and your team. You can apply any of the Skills First Mode settings to your own account by clicking the Enabled checkboxes.
If you are an admin for your company's Triplebyte account, you can require everyone in your organization to use Skills First Mode when searching for candidates by clicking the Apply to company checkboxes.
Please Note: Current Triplebyte company users must create an account and log in to see the complete Company Help Center. Some general content is visible in logged-out mode, with additional content available for logged-in users. Learn how to set up your Company Help Center account.
