How does the Hidden Gem tag work?

The Hidden Gem tag helps you source highly skilled, easy-to-close engineers. It's applied to engineers with top quiz scores AND who aren’t being regularly surfaced through traditional recruiting workflows. Hidden Gems is a great way to find talented candidates who are undervalued by the market, easy to close, and disproportionately from nontraditional backgrounds.

You can include these candidates in your search results by adding the Hidden Gems filter to your searches. You can find it in the "Triplebyte Platform Data" section:

To qualify for this designation, a Hidden Gem must:

• be active on Triplebyte recently (within the last 3 months)
• not be highly competitive (they haven’t shown up in recent searches by companies on Triplebyte)
• score in the top 5% of such candidates on our technical quizzes (eligibility weights both depth in single areas, like an exceptional score on a single quiz, and breadth, like good scores on a variety of quizzes)

We update Hidden Gems weekly. When a candidate starts getting noticed by other recruiters, we’ll stop weighting them as a Hidden Gem so that you continue to see less competitive, highly skilled devs in your search results.
