Candidates who both score in the top 10% and are open or excited about new opportunities have the option to set a preference to skip tech screens. You’ll see their preference noted on their profile. This is not a requirement — you can still choose whether to waive screens or not. You may want to consider it for top scorers; we’ve found that allowing engineers to skip tech screens is an effective method of connecting with (and closing) top talent.
When viewing a candidate who has noted this preference, we’ll remind you with an automatic tooltip next to the “waive tech screens” checkbox on the action card to the right of their profile. Learn more about what happens if you offer to waive tech screens when you message a candidate.
