Our Triplebyte quizzes rely on data from over 300,000 engineers, including over 40,000 live technical interviews. We have thousands of questions and are constantly developing new content to support our screening process. It all starts with an engineering screening quiz in the engineering sub-field of your choice. Everyone who completes a quiz receives personalized feedback afterward.
Most of our quizzes are adaptive, multiple-choice tests. We also offer some practical coding tests. Engineers can elect to take quizzes on general coding logic, algorithms and data structures, machine learning, front-end, or back-end development, along with various language-specific quizzes.
We share more details about each specific quiz here:
We've assembled a large pool of thousands of potential questions, and each quiz asks different questions based on where you've shown strength and weakness. The model we use for our quiz (item response theory) is the same as what's behind the GRE and GMAT tests. Most of the quiz questions involve looking at blocks of code and answering questions about them (finding bugs and predicting behavior). Some questions test specific knowledge.
After a quiz:
1. Personalized Feedback
Everyone who completes one of our quizzes receives a personalized, detailed feedback report on their strengths and weaknesses. The report also includes tips and resources for further study.
Engineers who demonstrate exceptional skill (Level 3 Proficient and up) in their area of technical skill are awarded a Triplebyte Certificate. Learn more about certificates and how they're awarded.
3. Score display
You can choose which scores you want to display to companies on your profile when you view your score report. You can also update your profile visibility at any time, and you can block specific companies in case your current or past employers are on our platform.
