What's a Triplebyte certificate? How do I earn one?
Triplebyte certificates are skills-based credentials earned by successfully completing our background-blind technical quizzes. Each engineering area has its own associated certificate.
You will earn a Triplebyte certificate when you score a Level 3 Proficient or higher. Your level score is an objective assessment of your skill level, and does not include any comparison to how other test-takers performed. You can learn more about how our quizzes are built and scored in this deep dive.
You can earn more certificates as you take more quizzes if you score Level 3 or higher on each of those quizzes. We do not retract certificates once they’re earned.
I see that I'm Triplebyte-certified. What can I do with my Triplebyte certificate?
First of all, congratulations! With over 300,000 engineers on our platform, it's a great accomplishment to earn certificate-level scores.
Triplebyte certification signals that your technical skills have been measurably verified via our background-blind quizzes. We will showcase your achievement by highlighting those scores on your Triplebyte profile, but we also suggest adding your unique certificate link to your resume, since it's a quick and clear way to demonstrate to recruiters and hiring managers that you are a highly qualified engineer in your area(s) of specialization.
You can also add your certificate to your professional profiles like LinkedIn, GitHub, and Stack Overflow, and share the link anywhere else you choose.

Your Triplebyte certification is an impressive achievement. A link to your certificate is featured on your Triplebyte profile. |
Engineers who took some of our legacy assessment tracks may see legacy certifications in a separate section of their profile. Legacy certifications used a badge system that looks like this:
My entry-level feedback report says I earned 3 or higher. Why don't I have a certificate?
In order to create a fair and measurable benchmark for Triplebyte certificates, the level of qualification is standardized across all levels in an area of specialization. We only award certificates to those who score 3+ on a standard difficulty quiz. Entry-level feedback is adjusted to display your results compared to other entry-level engineers who have taken the same quiz. This means that if you took the entry-level version of one of our tracks, the score on your entry-level feedback report does not correspond to the same score for the non-entry level version of that quiz. Learn more about how entry-level score displays differ from non-entry-level score displays.
